International award for Glyngøre company
SKOV A/S has received the award for the company’s new Combi-Tunnel Ventilation system.
At the exhibition “The British Pig and Poultry Fair 1999” SKOV A/S in Glyngøre, Denmark has been given the international award “Award for Innovation” for the company’s newly developed Combi-Tunnel Ventilation system.
The system is developed specifically for poultry production in areas where great temperature fluctuations occur. The system integrates various ventilation principles in one intelligent ventilation system. A climate computer ensures that the animals have optimum conditions by making the ventilation principle dependent on the outdoor temperature.
If the outdoor temperature is too low, the system functions as a standard negative pressure system with air outlet through chimneys in the roof and air inlet through wall inlets.
At high outdoor temperatures the system changes into functioning according to the “tunnel principle”. Here the air outlet goes through large fans at the gable end, and the air inlet goes through cooling pads at the opposite end of the house. An air jet is created lengthwise in the house, which provides the animals with very well ventilated air.
